The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has received more than 5,000 complaints about Adam Lambert’s American Music Awards performance (below) in November.

TheSmokingGun.com obtained some of the filings and published them on their site.

A few of the complaints are:

“KEEP THE FAG KISSING OFF OF THE NON CABLE CHANNELS. YOU NAZI.”

“The program was obscene and very indecent.  The end of the program aired Adam Lambert a self confessed homosexual who displayed tasteless acts of forcing another man’s face into his crotch repeatedly and French kissed another man, along with numerous crotch grabs, and had men on leashes.  This kind of homosexual content is being forced into American homes continuously by the networks forcing us to think that it is acceptable.  I, along with many others think that it needs to stop.  I want to see sensor ship [sic] of any program that wishes to display such tasteless programs by warning the viewers beforehand so that we can turn it off protecting our family’s values.”

“The complaint is about the obscene things that singer Adam Lambert did during his performance at the American Music Awards.  While singing he grabbed the back of a dancers head and rubbed it in his groin.  Then he went to another dancer and slid his hand between her buttocks and pulled on material directly at her private area.  The next obscene thing he did was go up to his keyboard player and kiss (him) in a graphic way.  My 11-year old son saw this and asked questions about what Adam Lambert was doing.  This was one of the most shocking things we have seen on primetime television.”

“I feel that the performance giving my [sic] performer Adam Lambert was unacceptable due to the obscene nature of content..ie making out with men, suggesting sex with men, whips, chains, leather, partial nudity.  As a gay man I feel offend [sic] that his [sic] is giving a negative portrayal of the gay community.  What is really shocking is that this was allowed to air during prime time television where it not only offended adults but children may be watching this as well.  I understand that music can be used as an art- as an act of expression, but I feel has gone too far.  I feel this is more of an act spite then delivering a positive message.  Please do something so that this will not continue in the future.”

In an interview published in the Entertainment Weekly that is coming out tomorrow, a few of the American Idol judges discuss comments made on the show that some people — and gay rights group GLAAD — consider to be homophobic.

On the show, both Simon Cowell and host Ryan Seacrest like to make comments that insinuate the other is gay.  In defense of this, Cowell says “We are the least racist, homophobic show in the world. What we do have, thank God, is a sense of humor. I hate political correctness. I wouldn’t go into any show saying anything is off-limits.”

Ellen DeGeneres, an out lesbian and the newest judge on the show, steps in to say that is sensitive to homophobia and acknowledged the issue coming up after Adam Lambert’s loss last season.  Her response on the issue of homophobia in relation to Simon and Ryan’s banter is “At the same time, the stuff that Simon and Ryan do — none of that has ever been offensive to me.”

Adam Lambert was on Ellen today and said that his gratuitous show at the AMA’s was perhaps a bit over the top.

Ellen made a great point by calling out those that were offended by Adam’s performance but not other sexually explicit performances.  As she points out, unless the people complaining about all content like that on TV, it is nothing but homophobia.

CBS has offered up a lame excuse for blurring the infamous Adam Lambert AMA kiss.

A spokeswoman at CBS had this to say to Extra.com:

“We gave this some real thought,” the rep said. “The Madonna image is very familiar and has appeared countless times including many times on morning television. The Adam Lambert image is a subject of great current controversy, has not been nearly as widely disseminated, and for all we know, may still lead to legal consequences.”

Eh, how easy it is to blame it on the lawyers!  The true irony lies in the possibility that CBS lawyers are the one’s that crafted the lame excuse.

I guess the lesson we’re supposed to take home with us is that it’s OK for two of the biggest female Pop stars (Madonna and Britney) to kiss on TV, but not an openly gay male?!

Adam Lambert cannot win!  Twitter was going crazy last night after Adam Lambert got peed on while at Juliet in NYC!

Who peed on him?  None other than a tranny, of course!

Some guy named Trick tweeted:

Not too much later he tweeted:

holy shit i just peed on adam lambert

That dude that is banging Christian Siriano (side note: I have so many funny stories about Siriano…from pre-Project Runway days … funny shit, I [won't] tell ya!)

Don’t worry though … Adam cleared it all up this morning with his own tweet:

Tranny pee: performer rigged device to make it seem like he was peeing on front row during show. It was a funny trick. We all freaked!

Honestly, if I peed on Adam Lambert, I’d claim that I rigged a device to do it, too!

He may be shocking Middle America and getting banned from TV, but we learned long ago that sex and controversy sell!

Adam Lambert is on track to sell 600,000 copies of For Your Entertainment in its first week of release.  By comparison, Kris Allen’s debut only sold 80,000 copies during its first week.

The CD is sexy and Adam relates to the gays (or, just about everyone).  One such relateable song is “Soaked,” which was written by the Muse’s Matthew Bellamy and is about “drunk one night stands.”

Adam Lambert recently came out and now he is speaking out.

He is not denying that he got carried away with his over the top at the AMA’s the other night.  On the early show he said that his actions would not have caused as much controversy were he not openly gay.  Here are some memorable quotes from the interview:

“I admit I did get carried away, but I don’t see anything wrong with it.  I do see how people got offended and that was not my intention.  My intention was to interpret the lyrics of my song and have a good time with it.”

“Janet Jackson, crotch grab.  I haven’t heard one peep about that.”

I cannot make this stuff up!

Adam Lambert was kicked off the Good Morning America lineup after his gay kiss on TV.

Just a day after cancelling Lambert, they’ve decided to go through with a pre-recorded “tell-all interview” with Chris Brown, who not all that long ago beat his girlfriend Rhianna.

Naturally, gay and feminist activists are upset and questioning such a move on heels of they gay kiss PR disaster.

An ABC source told The New York Post, “The network is giving a mixed message — that it doesn’t trust someone who shocked with an unpredictable show and a gay kiss, but then it is happy to go ahead with Chris Brown, who was convicted of felony assault.”  Someone else at ABC follow-up with with saying that it wasn’t Lamberts sexuality that got him in hot water with the network but rather that he proved he can be unpredictable on live TV.  They went on to add “Chris Brown’s interview was booked way before Adam Lambert took to the stage.  It is to give him a chance to respond to Rihanna’s interview.  The possibility of him performing a song will be worked out next week.”

I wonder what the GOP would think?  Ridding the world of domestic violence is not on their agenda, but making sure Adam Lambert cannot get married is.

Why are we even supposed to care what Chris Brown has to say?  He has already proven that he will lie when it comes to the subject:
