The web is sprinkled with harmless threats toward politicians like “if you don’t support gay rights, we will not vote for you next time around.”

They know you’re lying.  You will vote for them.

If the gay base does not get to the voting booth on election day then the Democrats can count on huge losses.  If you don’t go, you will have held true to your word!  Bravo!

You know what else gets accomplished?

People like Sarah Palin get to assume control.

Democrats have the LGBT community bent over the barrel (no pun intended) and they know it.  They can continue to piss on us as they see fit, because so long as they make it past the primary, we are going to vote for them.

They know that we will always pick the lesser of two evils and they will always be the lesser of two evils.

We will also continue to donate to them. If they make it past the primary, they are going to need our money to win and keep the Republican contender from getting the seat and we are going to give it.  We will look at the person that they are running against, become scared shitless at the thought of Republicans one day trying to make homosexuality illegal and we will open our wallets.

We’re kinda screwed.  Welcome to hell, enjoy your stay.  The religious right says that we’re going to hell, failing to realize that when it comes to politics, we’re already there.

I am not trying to be a Debbie Downer, but am rather expressing some of the somber thoughts that have recently passed through my mind.
