FCC Receives 5,000 Complaints About Adam Lambert

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has received more than 5,000 complaints about Adam Lambert’s American Music Awards performance (below) in November.
TheSmokingGun.com obtained some of the filings and published them on their site.
A few of the complaints are:
“KEEP THE FAG KISSING OFF OF THE NON CABLE CHANNELS. YOU NAZI.”
“The program was obscene and very indecent. The end of the program aired Adam Lambert a self confessed homosexual who displayed tasteless acts of forcing another man’s face into his crotch repeatedly and French kissed another man, along with numerous crotch grabs, and had men on leashes. This kind of homosexual content is being forced into American homes continuously by the networks forcing us to think that it is acceptable. I, along with many others think that it needs to stop. I want to see sensor ship [sic] of any program that wishes to display such tasteless programs by warning the viewers beforehand so that we can turn it off protecting our family’s values.”
“The complaint is about the obscene things that singer Adam Lambert did during his performance at the American Music Awards. While singing he grabbed the back of a dancers head and rubbed it in his groin. Then he went to another dancer and slid his hand between her buttocks and pulled on material directly at her private area. The next obscene thing he did was go up to his keyboard player and kiss (him) in a graphic way. My 11-year old son saw this and asked questions about what Adam Lambert was doing. This was one of the most shocking things we have seen on primetime television.”
“I feel that the performance giving my [sic] performer Adam Lambert was unacceptable due to the obscene nature of content..ie making out with men, suggesting sex with men, whips, chains, leather, partial nudity. As a gay man I feel offend [sic] that his [sic] is giving a negative portrayal of the gay community. What is really shocking is that this was allowed to air during prime time television where it not only offended adults but children may be watching this as well. I understand that music can be used as an art- as an act of expression, but I feel has gone too far. I feel this is more of an act spite then delivering a positive message. Please do something so that this will not continue in the future.”

Adam Lambert rocks!!! I don't know why people are getting mad. Perform sex acts all the time. Yeah it may not be in public, but it's human nature! Let him do what he wants! It's not like he hurt anyone. And don't say: My kids saw him kiss a man! First of all, your kids shouldn't have even been awake at that time. Secondly, if you saw what he was doing at the begining, why on god's green earth would you let them watch up to that part. If anyone's the bad person, it's you. So shut the hell up, get laid, and get over it.
Adam Lambert has been a class act, agreeing he may have gone too far and that he certainly did not mean to offend anyone. Since the AMAs he has toned down his performance. Why can't you people accept that and move on? Personally, I find some of your comments more offensive and vulgar than anything he has done. Throw in hateful too. You should consider yourselves lucky such a rare, gifted artist – as well as a helluva nice guy – lives in your country. I, as well as millions of Americans, are thrilled to be following his career.

Nice to see the video again – thanks! Seeing it again reminded me – EVERYONE should see it again – esp those like Peggy Noonan who wrote about it 3 weeks after it aired and I'd BET never even saw it. And, it reminded me exactly how short the “offending scenes” were, and how FAST the camera cut away from them! They were barely BLIPS! So much Much Ado About Nothing!! Even Adam's singing wasn't as bad as i'd remembed – he was HOT!! That guy is so brilliant – wow! Thanks for the dimwit letters LOL they were a HOOT!
Our favorite complaint is the one that someone said Adam is a lesbian. They do not even know the difference between a lesbian and a gay man!

The hardest part about blogging about those complaints is trying to think up new jokes about the morons who made them. Everyone else has used up all of the funny lines, like Fagatoni….Is that a new dish on 'Jersey Shore'? or I'll have that with white sauce. Some of these people even think that the photoshopped videos of Kris and Adam on Youtube are …..wait for it…real! BWAHAHAHA!
Agreed. Didn't even try in the joke department. Did like how Adam Lambert is now a lesbian according to one complaint. Shows you the ignorance of the people that think they have a right to weigh in on LGBT rights.
