Britney Spears Conservatorship Continues

TMZ is reporting that the conservatorship of Britney Spears will continue. Although the judge did not specify how long tit will continue, lawyers involved in the matter told TMZ that it is expected to last between six months and a year.
Since it will continue, Britney’s dad, Jamie Spears, will continue receiving his $16,000 monthly salary. The co-conservator was granted $174,569.10 in payments to cover the period of July, 2009 to November, 2009.
The judge also authorized attorneys fees totaling almost $300,000.

Having read what you supplied, it does look like TMZ was doing some back peddling by inserting what is now the obvious — that conservatorship will continue.

Something else to consider…
Most of the “celebrity news” we see is planted. I know someone that spins for celebrities on a full-time basis and he spends A LOT of time at the TMZ office getting stories published and others squashed.
It's a business and plays by the Paris Hilton rulebook of any publicity is good publicity. These celebrities have figured out that even not-so-positive news keeps them in demand.
What often happens is the more salacious stories are killed for one or two less salacious ones…sometimes involving an exclusive interview with the celeb, an exclusive photo op for the perfect picture (read expensive) without competing paps…whatever is needed.
TMZ saying it was ending could have been a trial balloon put out by the Spears camp. May not have been.
One thing we must remember is that Britney got her good star back by going into conservatorship. While the judge decides when she exits, you can bet your bottom dollar that the Spears camp will make it so that she does not exit until it makes the most economical and celebrity sense.

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.
