Not everyone lives in an area where there is a clinic that provides free HIV testing.

Not everyone is comfortable asking their doctor for an HIV test.

Not everyone trusts those home testing kits that you can buy at the drug store.

If you fit into any of the above categories, none of them are good enough of a reason to not get tested!  You must get tested!

A great organization that you can get tested through is the Adult Industry Medical Healthcare Foundation (AIM).  Yes, they test porn stars (hence the “Adult Industry” in their name), but they also test everyday people like you and me.

What I like about AIM is that you can order your test online and then go to one of the many drawing stations around the country that they work with.  After placing your order online, you will receive a voucher to take with you to the drawing station where they will draw your blood and take care of everything else.  In just a few days (usually faster than I’ve experienced at a doctors office), your test results are available.

In fact, you can receive more than an HIV test, as AIM offers the following tests:

• HIV-1 DNA, by PCR
• HIV Elisa
• Chlamydia and Gonorrhea by PCR
• Syphilis RPR (Rapid Plasma Reagin)
• Herpes TYPE 1 and 2 IGG, IGM Panel
