Sarah Palin tries to act just like one of us by hoping from town-to-town in a bus for her book tour.  That big bus pulls into town and all of her fans rally around her.  It works well, just like the Straight Talk Express worked well for McCain.

Now, as we learn through Daily Kos, Palin is a lot more like McCain than we ever imagined.  She too flies around the country in a private jet owned by someone else and is only using her bus as a prop to appeal to “real Americans.”

As we can all imagine, international Christian relief organizations require fancy private jets to carry out their mission.  The one that Sarah has been flying around the country on is owned by an organization called The Samaritan’s Purse, ran by Franklin Graham, who is Billy Graham’s son and alleged ex-cokehead.

What kind of jet is Palin jetting across the country on?  An 11-seat, multi-engine Beechcraft / King Air 300.  Good luck trying to track that jet on Flight Aware like you can with so many other private jets; talk about transparency for the organizations donors!

What this boils down to is Sarah Palin is flying around the country in the jet of a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization so that she can make a profit.  I doubt that their donor base could care less — Palin is their own personal Jesus — but I’d bet Uncle Sam would!

I guess in her mind she needs the organizations funds more than the poor and disadvantaged children splashed all over their website.  She’s such a good Christian, ain’t she, doggone it, you betcha!

I just double checked the Samaritan’s Purse website again and they still don’t have a “donate to Sarah Palin” link up.
