Mark Sanford is the Governor of South Carolina.  He is also a Republican who is against gay marriage.  Like most Republicans, he hopes to “protect” the institution of marriage.

Sadly, he is what is wrong with marriage in the first place.

Earlier this year it was discovered that Governor Sanford had an extramarital affair with a South American woman.  He carried on this affair without his wife or children’s knowledge.

Now, his wife has filed for divorce six months after the scandal.  In her divorce filing she states that she has tried to reconcile their marriage to no avail.

One word describes Governor Sanford: HYPOCRITE

We need to protect marriage from people like him.
