Getting Snarled in DADT

Congress wants to hear the opinions on DADT from gay servicemen and women.
There is just one problem with this: discussing their sexuality in a Congressional hearing would be a violation of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, the same law they would be testifying about.
What to do, what to do…
So that members of the military can freely discuss their sexuality and the effects of DADT on their ability to serve, Florida Democrat Alcee Hastings, along with 27 co-sponsors, is introducing a bill called Honest and Open Testimony Act that will give testifying service members immunity from DADT.
Great move! We at Gay Vantage tip our hats to Rep. Alcee Hastings and the co-sponsors of this bill!
